ARFID: Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder

Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) is a type of eating disorder which commonly affects children but can also be present in adults.  Typically a person with ARFID will only eat a limited variety of foods.  Sometimes this is due to sensory processing difficulties, lack of interest in eating, or fear of vomiting or choking.
