Speech Therapy

Speech Therapist Janet Boultbee can provide input for children, adolescents and adults.  Janet has experience working in multi-disciplinary contexts with occupational therapists and other health professionals in the fields of child and adolescent mental health; aged care; adult & early childhood disability services as well as community health rehabilitation post stroke, brain injury and degenerative neurological conditions including Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis.


Services include:

  • Assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and management, including for complex communication issues 
  • Up-skilling an individual's support team to optimise communication and enhance family and social networking
  • Therapy for delayed speech,  communication development; literacy; understanding and social language; voice; rehab; accent reduction and adult dysphagia
  • Comprehensive reporting including recommendations for both further referrals and strategies for school and other support personnel

Do I need a referral?

You do not need a referral to see a speech pathologist, however if you do have a valid referral from a GP or medical specialist then you may qualify for a Medicare Rebate.  If you have private health insurance then you may also be able to claim all or part of the expense through your health fund.
